When I wanted a lens that could attain more reach than Canon's EF70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM to cover more action and sports events a few years ago, I knew I had to get my hands on the EF300mm f/2.8 L IS USM lens. This entry level "baby" of Canon's Super Telephoto lens range is not only the most affordable and lightest, but also highly rated for its sharpness.
