Festive Lights – A Photo Essay

Intermediate

February is a busy month in Chinatown. The Chinese New Year celebration sees tourists and locals flock to its bustling marketplace where street vendors hawk everything from flaming red lanterns to Chinese traditional costumes. The thoroughfares are packed with people chortling and children rapturing with delight. Just like the copious amount of colourful candies in the stalls, brightly-lid decorations hang conspicuously above, illuminating the night sky into a brilliance of sparkling colours.
